Her ballast to displacement ratio of 50%, an 18'9" waterline on a sleek hull form demonstrates surprising upwind speed and great stability. The full masthead rig carries a generous, yet manageable sail plan with most of her power coming from her large foretriangle. Unlike fractional rigs, she can carry a relatively large spinnaker. She will let you experience her promises of speed, excitement and responsiveness under a full range of wind conditions.
The deck layout is clean and functional. All hardware and fittings are of the best quality. Her cockpit is roomy. workable and "safety designed" with a bridgedeck that serves as the mainsheet traveller base and as a protective companionway sill which adds to the boat's overall seaworthiness.
Below decks, the dinette converts to a full length berth and together with the double V-berth and quarter berth, provides sleeping accommodations for four adults. A galley unit with overboard discharge, stainless sink, pump, lockers, dish rack and glass storage, stowage under berths and handihead with pump out, all add to the ABBOTI 22's versatility as a daysailer and comfortable overnighter.
You can provide her motor power with either a 5 to 9 H.P. long shaft outboard or a neat Volvo Penta inboard sail drive.
